Maa Baglamukhi Maha Hawan

1. 1Sankalp (Intention Setting)

   Begin with a Sankalp, stating your name, the purpose of the Hawan, and offering devotion to Maa Baglamukhi. This sets the spiritual intention of the ritual.

2. 2Purification

   Clean the puja area with Gangajal (holy water) and turmeric water to create a sacred atmosphere.

3. 3Setup

   Place an idol or picture of Maa Baglamukhi on a yellow cloth over a wooden platform. Decorate with yellow flowers and a Swastik design made from Chana Dal.

4. 4Invocation

   Invoke Maa Baglamukhi using Vedic mantras, offering fruits, flowers, and yellow sweets.

5. 5Mantra Chanting

   Repeat the Baglamukhi mantra 108 times: 'Om Hleem Bagalamukhi Sarva Dushtanaam Vaacham Mukham Padam Stambhaya Jivhaam Keelya Buddhim Vinashaya Hleem Om Swaha'. Pronounce 'Swaha' on each offering into the fire.

6. 6Hawan

   Light the sacred fire in a Havan Kund on mango wood, cow dung cakes, and camphor. Chant the mantra while offering Havan Samagri (sacred substances) into the fire.

7. 7Aarti and Prasad

   End with Maa Baglamukhi Aarti, then distribute prasad among the participants.

• Regular Puja and Jaap: Baglamukhi mantra 36,000 or 1,25,000 times in a day during the Anushthan by experienced Pandits.
• Customized Rituals: The Anushthan is customized with the name of the devotee, date of birth, and his/her specific desires, thus they get personalized blessings.
• Yantra Energization: Maa Baglamukhi Yantra is energized during the ritual and can be brought home for round-the-clock protection and positivity.
• Brahmin Bhoj: Feeding of Brahmins as a part of the ceremony to make it more spiritually valuable.
• Tarpan and Marjan: Serving water and conducting cleansing ceremonies to appease ancestors and cleanse the surroundings.

• Ideal Time: The Brahma Muhurat from 4 AM to 6 AM is very auspicious for recitation of mantras and performing the Hawan.
• Auspicious Days: Vaishakh Shukla Ashtami (Baglamukhi Jayanti, typically in April or May), Navratri, or any Wednesday or Friday in Shukla Paksha (increasing moon) is ideal.
• Panchang Reference: Refer to the Hindu Panchang to decide on favorable planetary positions and avoid unfavorable times like Rahu Kalam.

Repeat 108 times during the Hawan, pronouncing 'Swaha' on each offering into the fire.
