Maa Baglamukhi Anushthan

1. 1Purification

   Start with a bath to wash the body and take Achaman (water for purification). Dress up in clean, preferably yellow, clothes as a tribute to the goddess.

2. 2Setup the Altar

   Purify the area of puja and place an idol or picture of Maa Baglamukhi on a yellow cloth. Adorn with yellow flowers, i.e., marigolds.

3. 3Kalash Sthapana

   Put a blessed pot (Kalash) filled with water, betel nut, and mango leaves, representing divine presence.

4. 4Invocation (Aavahan)

   Call Maa Baglamukhi in pure devotion and invoke her presence and blessings.

5. 5Panchopchar or Shodashopchar Puja

   Present five (Panchopchar) or sixteen (Shodashopchar) items, i.e., flowers, incense, lamp, food (naivedya), and water.

6. 6Mantra Chanting

   Recite the Maa Baglamukhi mantra, 'Om Hleem Baglamukhi Sarvadushtanaam Vaacham Mukham Padam Stambhaya Jivhaam Keelaya Buddhi Vinashaya Hleem Om Swaha,' 108 times on a rosary, ideally for 36,000, 51,000, or 1,25,000 times during the Anushthan duration.

7. 7hawan (Homam)

   Perform a fire ritual by offering ghee, wood, and specific samagri into the consecrated fire while chanting the mantra with “Swaha” at the end of each recitation.

8. 8Aarti and Prasad

   Conclude with Maa Baglamukhi’s aarti, offering light to the deity, and distribute prasad among participants. For authenticity, the ritual should be performed under the guidance of experienced pandits, especially for extended Anushthans.

• Long Mantra Jaap: Reading 1,25,000 mantras by a couple of pandits within a few days so that they can be more energetic.
• Special hawan: Includes additional offerings like turmeric, yellow mustard seeds, and specific herbs to invoke Maa Baglamukhi’s Stambhini Shakti (paralyzing power).
• Personalized Rituals: The Anushthan is tailored with the devotee’s name, birth details, and sankalp (intention) for targeted results.
• Siddh Yantra Energization: A Baglamukhi Yantra is energized during the ritual and sent to the devotee for continued blessings.
• Satvik Lifestyle: The followers are directed to lead a hygienic, vegetarian lifestyle and refrain from such sinful practices as drinking alcoholic beverages during the Anushthan duration.

Note: Such a special Anushthan is especially ideal for solving intricate matters such as protracted court hearings, repetition of negativities, or spiritual issues and must be conducted at such sacred sites such as the Maa Baglamukhi Temple at Nalkheda, Madhya Pradesh.

• Good Days: The Anushthan would be most effective on Vaishakh Shukla Ashtami (Baglamukhi Jayanti, usually in April or May), Navratri, or any other good tithis like Ashtami or Navami.
• Planetary Position: Take the help of a Panchang or an astrologer to select a muhurat that has no malefic planets involved, ideally Brahma Muhurat (4 AM to 6 AM) for recitation of mantras.
• Specific Dates in 2025: For specific dates, look at the Hindu calendar. For example, Baglamukhi Jayanti 2025 will be on approximately May 4 according to Vaishakh Shukla Ashtami.

Custom Muhurat: A pandit may suggest a custom muhurat based on the birth chart of the devotee and Anushthan purpose. Performing the ritual at a propitious muhurat synchronizes celestial energies so that the blessings of Maa Baglamukhi are elicited to the greatest possible degree.

Recite 108 times on a rosary, ideally for 36,000, 51,000, or 1,25,000 times during the Anushthan duration.
