Prarthiv Shivling Pooja (108 Shivlings)

1. 1Preparation of Shivlings

   Pure clay is collected, purified, and 108 small Shivlings are meticulously crafted by hand while chanting sacred mantras, ensuring each one is imbued with divine energy.

2. 2Sankalp and Invocation

   The devotee takes a Sankalp, stating the purpose of the puja. Lord Shiva and other deities are invoked into the Prarthiv Shivlings.

3. 3Abhishekam to Each Shivling

   Each of the 108 Prarthiv Shivlings is individually bathed with sacred substances like milk, water, honey, ghee, curd, and sugarcane juice, along with the chanting of Shiva mantras (e.g., Om Namah Shivaya).

4. 4Archana and Offerings

   Flowers, Bel Patra (Bilva leaves), Akshat, sandalwood paste, and other traditional offerings are made to each Shivling.

5. 5Mantra Japa and Havan (Optional)

   Further chanting of Shiva Moola Mantras is performed. A small Havan may also be conducted with offerings to intensify the puja's effects.

6. 6Visarjan (Immersion)

   After the puja, the clay Shivlings are reverently immersed in a clean body of water (river, pond), symbolizing the return of the divine energy to its source and offering liberation to the devotee.

7. 7Aarti and Prasad Distribution

   The puja concludes with a ceremonial Aarti and distribution of sanctified Prasad.
