Who is Maa Baglamukhi?
The eighth Mahavidya, possessing the ultimate power of Stambhan. She freezes, paralyzes, and silences the actions, speech, and intellect of all enemies.
Origin & Mythology
When a massive cosmic storm threatened to destroy the universe, Lord Vishnu performed austerities at the Haridra Sarovar. Pleased by his devotion, Maa Baglamukhi emerged from the yellow waters on a Tuesday, completely stopping the destructive storm. She later pulled the tongue of the demon Madanasura, freezing his ability to lie and harm others.

She is entirely associated with the color yellow (Pitambara). She has a golden complexion, wears yellow garments, and sits on a golden throne. With one hand, she pulls the tongue of an enemy (demon), and with the other, she holds a club ready to strike.
