11 Strict Rules for Mantra Jaap
Why Are The Rules So Strict?
Baglamukhi Sadhana is a "Vam Marga" and "Dakshina Marga" Tantric practice designed to invoke cosmic golden energy (Pitambara) to paralyze universal forces. This energy is highly destructive to negativity. If the vessel (your body and mind) is not purified through strict rules, the energy will burn the vessel itself.
1. Strictly Yellow Clothing (Pitambar)
Maa Baglamukhi is 'Pitambara' (wrapped in yellow). The sadhak must wear unstitched yellow clothes (dhoti for men, yellow sari/suit for women). Wearing black, blue, or leather items during Japa is strictly prohibited and invites immediate negative consequences.
2. Yellow Asana (Seating Mat)
The Japa must be performed sitting on a yellow woolen or silk Asana. Kusha grass mats can also be used if covered with a yellow cloth. Never sit directly on the bare floor.
3. Haldi Mala (Turmeric Rosary)
The only acceptable mala for Baglamukhi Japa is a Haldi Mala (rosary made of turmeric knots). Rudraksha or Tulsi must never be used. The mala must be kept inside a yellow Gaumukhi (mala bag) so it remains unseen by others.
4. Direction (Disha)
For spiritual growth (Moksha) and knowledge, face East. For destroying enemies (Shatru Nash), paralyzing opposition, and resolving court cases, you must face North.
5. Absolute Brahmacharya (Celibacy)
Strict celibacy must be maintained physically and mentally during the entire duration of the Anushthan (e.g., if you take a vow for 11 days, celibacy must be unbroken for 11 days).
6. Sattvic Diet & Sleep
Consumption of meat, eggs, onion, garlic, alcohol, and outside food is banned. The sadhak should eat only once a day (Ekana) or consume a purely Sattvic fruit/milk diet. Sleeping on the floor (Bhumi Shayan) is highly recommended.
7. Specific Timings (Muhurta)
Japa yields the fastest results when done during 'Mahanisha Kaal' (Midnight, usually between 11:30 PM and 1:30 AM) or during the 'Brahma Muhurta' (4:00 AM to 6:00 AM).
8. Akhand Jyot (Unbroken Lamp)
An unbroken lamp (Akhand Jyot) of pure cow ghee or yellow mustard oil (Peeli Sarson tel) must be kept lit in front of the Baglamukhi Yantra for the duration of the Japa.
9. The Power of Sankalp
Mantra Japa without a clear Sankalp (vow) is like firing a gun without aiming. The Sankalp must state your name, gotra, location, the exact number of mantras to be chanted, and the specific enemy or problem to be destroyed.
10. Extreme Secrecy (Gupt Sadhana)
Baglamukhi Sadhana is 'Gupt' (secret). Do not announce to anyone that you are performing this Japa, especially not to the enemy you are doing it against. The moment secrecy is broken, the Stambhan power dissipates.
11. Guru Diksha (Initiation)
The Beej Mantra (HLEEM) is highly volatile. It is like handling a live electrical wire. It is strongly advised to receive the mantra from an authentic Guru. If you do not have a Guru, treat Lord Shiva (Mahakaal/Dakshinamurti) as your Guru before starting.

Too Difficult?
If you cannot maintain strict celibacy, diet, or secrecy, do not attempt the Tantrokta Japa yourself. Have it performed by the pure, initiated priests at the Nalkheda Siddha Peeth.

No. While simple devotional names can be chanted anytime, Tantrokta Beej Mantras must only be chanted while seated firmly on your Asana with full concentration.
